Sunday’s Journal (August 3) ran a small article that I write on – The Best Hike for Dogs at Valles Caldera. I need to point out that the names for the hikes have been changed – Coyote Call is now Rabbit Mountain Loop and Valles Grande Trail is now South Valles Grande trail. As an fyi, South Valles Grande has quite a few blowdowns. Rabbit Mountain Loop is wonderful – here’s the link to the article:

July 25, 2019:
Today’s Albuquerque Journal “GO!” page has a good article on accessing Valles Caldera’s backcountry. Our hike at Valles Caldera (Hike 46) is outside the wire and does not require any permits. More importantly, our hike allows dogs.
